Amitabh Bachchan shares a post remembering India’s heroes such as former PM Manmohan Singh, director Shyam Benegal, tabla maestro Zakir Hussain and industrialist-philanthropist Ratan Tata.

Amitabh Bachchan remembers India’s heroes

The image features animated versions of Manmohan Singh, Shyam Benegal, Zakir Hussain and Ratan Tata depicting what they do best. It is an artwork by Satish Acharya to spread the message of unity and respect while celebrating the secular fabric. The photo titled “Our heroes in heaven” is also accompanied by a text that reads, “A Parsi, a Muslim, a Sikh and a Hindu passed away in 2024 and the whole nation mourned and remembered them only as Indians!” The megastar captioned the pic, “The picture says it all.”

Former Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh breathed his last in Delhi on December 26. Days before his death, on December 23, the legendary filmmaker Shyam Benegal succumbed to chronic kidney disease at the age of 90. Additionally, Indian business tycoon Ratan Tata and the former chairman of the Tata Group died on October 10 at 86. While Zakir Hussain died on  15th December.

Meanwhile, on the work front, his 2024 film releases included the futuristic thriller Kalki 2898 AD, co-starring Deepika Padukone, and the action-packed Vettaiyan, alongside Rajinikanth. Up next, he is slated to star in the Hindi remake of The Intern, reuniting with Deepika Padukone. He is also set to return in Bhootnath 3.
